Dr. Travis Spillman
Dr. Spillman brings over two decades of dental experience to every exam and treatment he provides, and he continues to find new things he loves about his job each day. He enjoys getting to know his patients and seeing how their lives change as they become more confident in their smiles and themselves. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Spillman’s childhood dentist is who originally inspired him to enter the dental world. Dr. Thomas Ryan showed Dr. Spillman firsthand what a dramatic difference a dentist can make in someone’s life if they just take the time to bond with a patient and personalize their care. Dr. Spillman wanted to be able to help people this way as well, which led him to enroll in dental school. The rest, as they say, is history!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After graduating from Baylor University, Dr. Spillman enrolled at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston and obtained his dental degree, all while working as a dental assistant. He worked as an associate dentist for several years before deciding to start his own dental office. Despite being out of school, he says he has never stopped learning. He regularly completes continuing education courses through the Seattle Study Club and Spear Study Group, and he also has a master’s certificate from the Center for Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry (CARD).
Outside of the Dental Office,
What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Spillman and his wife Michele are the proud parents of three teenagers. In their free time, they enjoy watching their kids’ sports, cooking, entertaining friends and family, traveling, and hitting the beach. Dr. Spillman also enjoys working out, fishing and is well-known around his neighborhood for his BBQ pitmaster prowess.
